Cane is made of one piece of wood cut from Little Round Top. It meas. approx. 34.25 inches long with a naturally formed handle approx. 4.00 inches long.
What makes this cane especially nice is a brass escutcheon tacked to the shaft just below the handle. It is very finely engraved “FROM LITTLE ROUND TOP GETTYSBURG.” The face of the escutcheon has a wonderful untouched rich patina.
The base of the cane has a brass final also held by tacks.
Very nice early souvenir cane. [ad] [ph:L]
