Typical cannon ball for Civil War smoothbore artillery pieces. This was threaded to use typical Confederate copper fuse adaptor, which is gone.  Iron surface is moderately pitted and has been cleaned by electrolysis. Recovered from Winchester, Virginia.   [jet]  [ph:L]
