Purchased in the early 1960’s by a local antique dealer in Gettysburg who specializes in glassware. It is the only known complete set of Gettysburg souvenir clambroth dishes for children. This set dates to the 1930’s time period.
Included in the set are:
1. A butter dish with the lid, with “Gettysburg, Pa. 1863.”
2. Small creamer, view of the Pennsylvania Monument.
3. Sugar dish with lid; view of the Jennie Wade House and her monument in Evergreen Cemetery.
4. A cup with a view of “STATUES OF GEN. BUFORD AND GEN. REYNOLDS AND HALLS 2ND ME. BATTERY”, “GETTYSBURG, PA”.
All dishes in excellent condition. A truly unique, one of a kind set! [ws]
