FRAMED MAP OF GETTYSBURG NATIONAL CEMETERY

$150.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: L15444

Map was printed on blue paper. Shows the layout of the Soldier’s National Cemetery. Wording reads, “TREE KEY SKETCH, GETTYSBURG NATIONAL CEMETARY, DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, REFERENCE MAP DRAWN BY P.B.T. APR. 12, 1939. DRAWING NO. NC/GET-7000. RETRACED BY C.L.N. JULY 31, 1939.” Map has some chipping at edges, scattered small holes and wrinkling. Appears to have water damage, as paper backing is also wrinkled and has areas of mold present.

Wood frame measures 26” x 30”. Wire is mounted on reverse for hanging. Frame has a decorative inlaid leaf border, some of which is missing. Otherwise, very solid.

Very nice Gettysburg collectable.  [sl]
