Bullet embedded in a large piece of wood. The wood measures approximately 12” x 4 ½”. Bullet is visible and appears to be a CS Gardner’s Patent Minie ball. Recovered from an unknown location on the Gettysburg battlefield. Accompanied by a brief typed note from the previous owners of the item, who purchased this item from descendants of a local Gettysburg family who resided here at the time of the battle.   [jt]
