Image shows Burns from the waist up. The old gentleman is bareheaded and wears a dark civilian coat and vest open to expose a gleaming white shirt.
The bottom of the mount bears a printed facsimile of Burns signature. Below this is the publishing information stating that the image was “Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1863, by Tyson Brothers, Gettysburg.”
Mount corners are clipped. Image is very clean with good contrast.
Reverse is blank.
