Uncleaned US Parrott shell in dug condition. Sabot is intact but shows heavy rust. Fuse plug has deteriorated and no longer has a head. Surface shows heavy rust and pitting. Recovered from the Gettysburg battlefield, East of Confederate Avenue and Rock Creek, near the base of Culp’s Hill. [jt]
