Beautifully done, hand carved signed, believed to be redwood.  It measures 12’ long x 3’ tall.  Done in a light blue with red trim; letters are in gold, with a beautifully carved wingspread eagle also in gold.  There are a few areas in need of minor repair, as well as some re-painting.

This sign was used on the exterior of the American Print Gallery owned by Ted Sutphen, which is currently the location of The Horse Soldier.  The print gallery opened in 1980, and was owned and operated by Ted and his wife Mary for over 20 years. Mr. Sutphen became the leading pioneer in establishing Civil War Limited Edition Prints, and was the finest sought after publisher of Civil War art.
