Clear stereo view of the entrance to the Gettysburg National Cemetery. The entrance pictured is on the Baltimore Pike on East Cemetery Hill. The main posts of the gate are mounted with spread-winged eagles while the body of the posts list the names of the states in the Union. Visible just inside the gate is a statue of Major General John F. Reynolds.
Image has moderate surface dirt as does the cream colored mount. There is no photographer’s imprint but the reverse does have a period ink inscription that reads “ENTRANCE TO NATIONAL CEMETERY.”
