Lithograph comes in a modern framed and mat that meas. approx. 21.75 x 17.75 inches. The lithograph itself is bright and colorful. It shows the high point of Pickett’s Charge on July 3, 1863 and is based off an original oil painting. The lower border of the lithograph has the printed title “THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG” and notation of the circumstances under which the painting was originally done.
Peter Frederick Rothermel devoted almost five years to his monumental 16 by 32 foot painting of The Battle of Gettysburg: Pickett's Charge which was released in 1870 to mixed reviews.
There is no date on the lithograph but it was done by Donaldson Brothers of New York. Just visible at the bottom center above the mat edge is what looks to be a small tear or ink spot. Otherwise the item is in very nice condition.
EXTRA SHIPPING REQUIRED.
