Photo is mounted on cream colored heavy stock. The view shows Baltimore Street hill. Due to the street being tree lined it is hard to say in which direction the camera is looking. Just visible on horizon on the right side of the street is a church spire. Most likely this is the Presbyterian Church that stood on the southeastern corner of Baltimore and High Streets. If that is the case then the camera is looking north up Baltimore Street hill toward the center of town.
Image is clean but contrast is a little on the light side. Reverse is marked MUMPER & CO., GETTYSBURG Pa. Written in period ink above the photographers imprint is “BALTIMORE STREET.”
