US/CS ARTILLERY CHAIN FROM GETTYSBURG

This is a 26.50 inch length of heavy chain with a “T” bar at each end. These chains are usually referred to as “trace chains” and were used by the artillery to help pull the gun or caisson. This section of chain is rusted but in working condition.

This item was recovered at Gettysburg by John Cullison and then became part of the Rosensteel family collection.
