M1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE

This is a M1903 Springfield, serial number 869825, was manufactured in between 1917 to 1918. It was used in WW1 and was rebuilt for WW2. The original receiver dates between May, 1917 and November, 1918 but the barrel is marked “SA” over 3 – 30, date of manufacture. Finish is both  black and greenish- gray parkerizing. Stock is a C type with two screws and no finger grooves. Wood is in good condition and has no cartouches. Buttplate is smooth. Stacking swivel and elevator sight is missing. Bore is fair.
