PATTERN 1854 AUSTRIAN LORENZ RIFLE WITH BAYONET

$995.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: G3197

The pattern 1854 Austrian Lorenz is the second most imported rifle after the Enfield. The confederate government purchased 100,000 and the U.S. purchased 200,000 Austrian weapons. The 1854 are a single shot .69 caliber rifled musket. This particular rifle is a two-band rifle. All the iron is a matching gunmetal gray patina that has been heavily cleaned. No markings except the assembly number (63) are on the side plate and the 2 bands and the nosecap. Wood is in good condition with minor scratches and dings. Front sight is missing. Bore is good and the mechanics are also good.  Bayonet is a 4-sided original bayonet that matches the patina of the musket.
