REMINGTON MODEL 1871 ARMY ROLLING BLOCK PISTOL

$2,795.00 SOLD
Originally $3,495.00

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 490-1662

Made 1872 to 1888. Total quantity made was about 6000. This pistol is a .50 caliber centerfire single shot.  Eight inch round barrel.  Walnut grip with nice inspector’s cartouche “CRS” inside single line frame. Walnut forestock secured by a single screw.

This is a very fine example. Frame with excellent makers markings with patent dates. Frame also with letters “P” and “S”.  Bright bore with sharp rifling. Excellent case hardened finish on receiver and frame. Barrel and trigger retain original blued finish. Mechanically crisp and strong.

There are a few dings on the forestock and small “rubs” on the barrel but overall a really beautiful example.  [jet] [ph:L]
