Revolver is .32 rimfire with a barrel that meas. approx. 6.00 inches long. Top of barrel is faintly marked “SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MASS.” Blade type front sight is present at muzzle. Bore is very clean with good rifling.
Ejector is present below the barrel.
Non-fluted six shot cylinder has faint “PATENTED APRIL 3, 1855, JULY 5, 1859 & DEC. 18, 1860” and Indexes well. Hammer holds and falls properly at full cock.
Rosewood grips are in very nice condition. All screwheads show minor wear. Serial number is 54438. This revolver was produced between 1861-1874.
Weapon retains approx. 40% of its blued finish giving it a mottled appearance. [ad][ph:m]
