Octagon barrel is 3.50 inches long and retains approx. 60% of its original blue. Bead front sight sits above the muzzle. Right flat just behind the muzzle shows some light to moderate pitting over a small area. Top barrel flat bears a readable marking of “COLT’S PAT. / 1855” followed by “ADDRESS COL. COLT / HARTFORD CT.” Barrel is .28. Bottom flat of barrel bears serial number 19501.
Frame is dark but also shows some original blue. Cylinder is NOT fluted and has an engraved cabin and Indian scene that looks to be mostly there though not easily visible. All original nipples are present and show only light wear. The side mounted hammer works properly. Cylinder indexes properly but is sloppy at times.
Wood grips show light signs of use and are in good condition overall. Hammer screw and frame screws show light wear.
Serial number matches throughout. [ad]
