Revolver has a 3.75 inch octagon barrel that is .32 caliber. Clearly stamped on the top of the barrel is “NORFOLK BURY ST. EDMONDS.” Bore has good rifling but is pitted and very dirty. Attached at the muzzle is a spring loaded bayonet that folds back along the barrel and is held in place by a lever attached to the revolver’s frame. When the lever is pulled the 3.50 inch triangular bayonet flips forward on the spring. The bayonet is folded back into place by depressing a button on the side of the spring and folding the blade rearward to be secured by the latch.

Six-shot cylinder has 5 of the 6 original nipples with the final one missing. The front edge of the cylinder has a delicate scalloped engraving

The frame of the weapon is heavily decorated with nicely done geometric scrolls. The bar-hammer is also engraved with cornices and floral decoration. Revolver operates properly. Latch holding the bayonet in place shows some original blue.

Large triggerguard has a scrollwork design on its exterior.

Wood grips are complete and checkered. Pommel cap is also engraved with a circular decoration.

All metal surfaces have light to moderate mottling and just minor, scattered surface pitting.   [ad]
