This long centerfire cartridge was produced by UMC for the big Sharps hunting rifles. Total length of the cartridge is 3 1/8” long with a 2 9/16” brass case. Has a 300 gr. metal patched bullet and carries some 58 grams of smokeless powder. Similar in shape to the Winchester .405 CF round, the Sharps cartridge saw service in the buffalo hunting days.
