Excellent flat top cartridge for the .44 Henry and M1866 Winchester rifles or the Colt, Remington, and Smith & Wesson revolvers. This particular cartridge was manufactured by the United States Cartridge Company. One groove bullet, copper rimfire case with a “US” headstamp.
The United States Cartridge Company was an early manufacturer of cartridge ammunition for small arms. The company was founded in 1869 by American Civil War general Benjamin Butler.
