Rarest of the rare, a .44 caliber cartridge for Joslyn Army revolvers.
A pointy, two-groove bullet with paper case tied to the bullet. After filling with powder, the case was “choked and tied at the loose end, and the surplus paper was cut off close to the tie.”
The Joslyn Firearms Company supplied 1,100 revolvers to the Ordnance Department. Offered here is a cartridge that is rarely even seen. Likely because only three orders for 10,000 cartridges each were ever purchased.
This cartridge remains in perfect condition.
