Offered here is an exceptional and very early gang mold for round musket balls and buckshot of many calibers.
Made of brass and measuring approximately 7" long, without the wood handles that would have been added to the arms. Hinged at one end with long tapered channels to funnel lead into the 13 cavities. The larger musket ball cavities measure approximately 0.71, 0.61, 0.57, 0.56, and 0.48. The smaller cavities measure 0.35, 0.31, and 0.20.
Cavities remain clean and crisp. Brass has nice mellow patina with usual nicks on outer surfaces from knocking the balls out of the mold.
A classic Revolutionary War era bullet mold. [jet] [ph:L]
