Vol. IV—No. 110. 4 pp., 20 x 26”, seven columns. Exhibits fold marks, slight chipping & yellowing of the margins. Else VG & entirely legible.
This paper was published just five years after the California Gold rush strike at Sutter’s Mill had turned San Francisco into a shipping boom town. And front page shipping notices are still numerous, with packets available for Australia and China, as well as stage lines, east, west an up and down the California coast. Commercial advertisements dominate the paper, along with reports from Oregon, the Society Islands & Pitcairn’s Island.
Solid collectible for aficionados of San Francisco and early California. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing. [jp] [ph:L]
