Excellent flat top cartridge for the .44 Henry and M1866 Winchester rifles or the Colt, Remington, and Smith & Wesson revolvers. This particular cartridge was manufactured by the New Haven Arms Company. Two groove bullet, copper case with headstamp of a raised "H" within a recessed circle and showing tool marks on the head. These "tic" or tool marks was caused by the machinery used to seat the bullet and roll the case seam.
The New Haven Arms Company was located in New Haven, CT (1857 - 1866) and in Bridgeport, CT (1866 - 1867).
