Aqua glass bottle shows an applied top and pontil scar. Embossing on front reads, "DR. D. JAYNE'S HAIR TONIC". Reverse reads, "PHILADA."
Bottle measures 4.5" tall by 2" wide. No chips or cracks.
Dr. Jayne started making his medicinal products in 1831. In 1836 he opened a drug store in Philadelphia. The hair tonic came into production in 1845. [sl]
