Pinfire cartridge for 15mm carbines. Lead bullet in a copper cartridge case. The gun’s hammer struck a rigid wire or “pin” extending from the case. The pin, in turn, set off a percussion cap seated in the bottom of the cartridge, thus firing the bullet. “15” head stamp; unknown maker. Great condition. [JET]
