Round pasteboard package for 25 Perrin revolver cartridges. Box remains quite colorful with blue and yellow “tape” around the sides. Printed paper label pasted to the lid is in perfect condition.
Twenty-three of the original 25 copper cartridges remain. Someone has since inserted two brass case Perrin cartridges (one 12mm and one 9mm) just to fill up the box. All cartridges are in excellent condition.
Cartridges were manufactured by Charles Fusnot and Company. The Perrin revolver and its unique cartridges were patented in England by William E. Newton for Messrs. Perrin and Delmas of Paris on October 5, 1859. The Perrin cartridge is a self-contained, centerfire cartridge.
While the Perrin cartridges are fairly common, their pasteboard boxes are very rare. Here is your opportunity to acquire a nearly full pack! [jet]
