$195.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 186-57

This is the private’s musket tool for the Pattern 1853 Enfield. The tool is made up of several parts combined in the shape of a “T”.  The body of the tool was a hollow oil reservoir. A “wire” applicator was attached to the lid which screwed in to the top. The bottom of this central piece had a recessed cone wrench. Located along the body was a cone prick. The cross arm had a screw driver blade on one end and was threaded on the other to hold a wiper. There are a pair of small (inspector’s?) stamps on the cross piece. Very good condition with spotty oxidation.

A rarely encountered accessory for the Enfield rifle.   [jet]
