This is a pasteboard box and lid with a printed paper label for Sharps Rifle cartridges. The label reads, “TEN / LINEN CARTRIDGES, / FOR SHARPS RIFLE, / CAL. 52-100. / WITH 12 PERCUSSION CAPS, / WARRANTED / SUPERIOR QUALITY.” The box is complete but the lid has split at the corners. One of the original cartridges remains with the pack. The cartridge is a linen .52 caliber Sharps cartridge. The cartridge is in excellent condition with no cracks or powder loss. This is a perfect piece to accompany any Sharps display. [jet]
