Presented are twenty Spencer M1865 unused, late and post-war 56.50 metallic rimfire cartridges. Some are head stamped on the base of the brass / copper casing. These rounds, produced for the Model 1865 Spencer carbine, were known as the 56-50 Spencer rimfire and were supplied to the government. Each of the metallic .50 caliber cartridges measures a total length of 1.62” and has a flattop lead bullet fitted to a 1 1/8” long brass cartridge casing. Conical lead heads all wear a coat of either white oxidation or dark gray patina while the brass casings exhibit a mellow to dark bronze patina along with light surface grime.
