Offered here is the lock plate for an Enfield rifle. Lock plate is marked with only the large crown behind the hammer. Stamped “TOWER / 1862” in front of the hammer.
The mainspring, stirrup, sear, sear spring, bridle, and tumbler remain in place on the back side. Square shank (that hammer fits onto) is broken off of the tumbler.
Dark tone overall; in fine condition. [jet][ph:L]
