The sword's overall length is approx. 38.00 inches. The blade meas. approx. 31.50 inches long and 1.08 inches wide at the ricasso. The blade is bright with moderate scattered mottling. There is no pitting or rust. The face of the blade is lightly etched with scrollwork decorations up to about half its length. In the area of the ricasso on both sides is a hint of gold wash. Blade has a wide stopped fuller that starts at the ricasso and runs to an area just short of the point. Hilt is cast brass with a ribbed silver grip. The grip has two small dings, one near the top and one closer to the bottom. There are brass ferrules above and below the grip. The pommel cap and the capstan rivet are also brass and in the shape of a decorative urn. The single band knucklebow starts at the pommel cap and comes around to a clamshell counterguard. The bottom of the counterguard is decorated with a design that is tight around the ricasso. There is no scabbard.
