This edged weapon is copied from the US Model 1832 Artillery short sword and is minus its scabbard.
The blade is double edged and meas. approx. 17.00 inches long with an 11.25 inch long unstopped fuller. Blade surface is bright with moderate scattered mottling several rust spots on one side. Blade shows production flaws on both sides and there are several nicks along both edges. The tip of the point is slightly bent.
Cast brass hilt has faux scaled grip with plain pommel. Straight guard with rounded quillons on each end. Brass has been lightly cleaned and exhibits light wear consisting of small dings, dents and scratches.
