High Grade M 1860 Staff Officer Sword. Presentation grade sword with an impressive large brass guard. Guard has high grade casting on the guard, counter guard, knuckle bow and pommel cap.
Grip is hand chased rolled silver. Fantastic armor piercing blade is bright, unetched and is double fullered with no proof marks. Brass scabbard has high grade cast mounts and drag and is also hand chased between the mounts and the scabbard body. On the underside of the counter guard can be seen the retail mark “EL” with three stars which is the mark of importer/retailer E Lyon of Paris. [ph:L]
