Pre-printed govt. form, 21” x32, listing the 52 soldiers on Co. 6 roll, as of February 28 1865. Exhibits fold-marks, and chipping at folk-mark intersections. Else VG.
The 1st Battalion, New York State Sharpshooters was organized in September 1862, with .52 caliber Sharps rifles. Attached to the Army of the Potomac the Suffolk, Bristoe Station, Mine run, Overland campaign and Appomattox Campaigns. Out of 157 total casualties it suffered 27 dead, 68 wounded and 62 missing. At the time of this roster it was engaged on line at the Siege of Peterburg.
