Wonderful Mamaluke Saber manufactured in England. Most likely for a British officer but possible it was imported to the US market. Ivory grips and brass langets are in great condition with one minor chip on the reverse side near the langets. Blade is in an earlier style as it is very wide, does not have a fuller, has a clipped point and an extreme curve . Blade is bright with full etch and frost. Obverse etch is foliate with tulips - fan folaite / foliate / “William Harvey Warrented” in a ribbon / stand of arms / foliate. Reverse etch is folaite / folaite / foliate - stand of arms / foliate. Steel scabbard has brass flat throat, cast brass carry ring bands and fancy cast drag. [ss] [ph:L]
