Fine Horstmann & Sons Staff & Field Officer's sword manufactured with sharply curved blade. The grip is sharkskin with copper color dragoon twist wire and two untwisted flanking wires. The curved blade has mirror like polished finish with flags, military trophies and foliate. The maker address of W. H. Horstmann / & Sons . Philadelphia is etched near the ricasso. The blade washer is red felt. The scabbard is iron with with a plum brown finish. The mounts are gilt brass.
