Excellent condition. Blade ricasso marked with, “Made by/Ames Mfg Co./Chicopee/Mass” inside a scroll. Reverse side “US/A.H.K./1864”. Brass guard and scabbard drag also with same inspector’s marks. Leather scabbard is nearly perfect. Blade bright and free of nicks. All brass with great patina. Choice!!!
