This is an original Model 1855 socket bayonet for .58 caliber Civil War era Springfield rifle muskets. Measures approximately 21” overall.
This specimen features a smooth, clean surface. Covered with darker spotting overall. Original working locking ring and screw. Large “US” strongly stamped on blade flat.
