The drawn bayonet meas. 27.25 inches from point to pommel.
Blade length is 22.50 inches with a 16.75 inch unstopped fuller. Ricasso is stamped with scales and flanked by the letters “A” and “C”. Blade surface is very clean with no mottling, pitting or rust is visible. Edge is free of nicks.
Iron guard has the muzzle ring and ball ended hook. Guard is unmarked. Grips and pommel are made of ribbed brass. Locking mechanism in the pommel works properly.
Metal scabbard is in good condition. Throat has a loop for attaching to the frog. Finial is rounded. The metal body shows has been painted black but does show some light wear from age. Stamped in the scabbard under the frog loop is “195” or “19” with a backwards “7.” [ad] [ph:L]
