This is an excavated “eagle” plate for the shoulder strap of the infantry cartridge box. Brass face has a good dark, dirt-covered brown patina. All details of the eagle display very well.

The plate’s reverse has 100% of the lead fill. The two iron loops remain and are also in very good condition. Some residual glue remains on loops from collector’s display.
