Socket bayonet with dark patina, bright towards the tip and shows signs of oxidation on the outer shoulder. Locking ring moves freely. Stamped on the flat face of the blade is a French “star” makers mark. Just above the star is deep indentation of the number “16.” On the outer elbow/shank is the letter “S.” The blade itself measures 15”.
The socket measures 2 ¾” and is stamped “Z Z 7 4 3 7” over top of additional numbers “3 3 3.” [mk] [ph:L]
