Flag is made of alternating panels of blue, white and blue cotton. Central white panel bears the Division insignia in blue and white surrounded by “29TH DIVISION ASSOCIATION” in blue lettering.
Flag looks to date from the 1930’s – 1950’s.
The 29th Infantry Division served in both of the World Wars and was made up of Pennsylvania and Maryland National Guardsman.
In World War One the division saw action in the Muse-Argonne campaign.
During World War Two the Division is famous for leading the assault at Omaha Beach on D-Day June 6, 1944. [ad] [ph:L]
