Triangular iron bayonet. Blade meas. approx. 13.25 inches long with a smooth face. Both the edges has a blood groove but the face is plain except for the stamping “S.H.”
Socket meas. approx. 3.25 inches long with a rolled edge and a mortise.
Metal surfaces are mostly clean with light patina and small amounts of mottling and very minor scattered pinprick pitting.
Bayonet is believed to date from approx. 1790. There is no scabbard.
