This socket bayonet is iron with a triangular blade that meas. approx. 17.00 inches long. The flat surface of the blade has a fuller that runs approx. 13.25 inches long beginning about 3.00 inches from the base of the blade and runs through the point. The flat of the blade is stamped with a crisp crown over the letter “K.”
The knuckle of the bayonet is rounded. The socket has a straight mortise with a very stiff locking ring.
The surface of the bayonet has been blued and approx. 80% of it remains.
