1873/76 Winchester rifle muskets [with bayonets] were carried by the “Hawaii Citizens Guard” during the brief Royalist “Counter-revolution” revolution of 1895, in which supporters of the deposed Queen Lili’ukalani attempted to overthrow the “Republic of Hawaii” and restore her to her throne, January 6-9, 1895. Needless to say, they failed…….also needless to say, this is an extremely scarce, and highly collectible Winchester bayonet.
