Wonderful example of an ink signature of famed Confederate general “Stonewall” Jackson. This was clipped from a larger document.
It reads “T. J Jackson / Maj. Genl.” on a slip of paper that measures approximately 3 ¼” x 2 ¼”.
Accompanying the clipped signature is a 5 ½” x 8 ½” sheet of note paper from Edward A. Daylor with his name preprinted at the top. The letter is in ink and reads:
“June 6, 1963
My dear William,

Your friend & fellow collector,
Ed”
