Front cover features full page illustration, titled “The Attack on Fredericksburg—The Forlorn Hope Scaling the Hill”, w/story of page *30. Interior includes full page illustrated of “The Bombardment of Fredericksburg By the Army of the Potomac.” Plus a striking panoramic centerfold depicting the battle from the rear—“A Battle As Seen By the Reserve.”

Exhibits mounting dots and slight chipping of front page margins; small creases at lower right corners of all pages. Numerous small dots of foxing to front page, also scattered throughout the other pages. Pages 823/824, 825/826 and 827/828 have diagonal creasing at upper right corners. Solid “battle” issue, and as such, solidly collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing. [ld] [ph:L]
