Interior illustrations include numerous sketches from the Philadelphia Centennial—“The Wines of the Rhine, Agricultural hall”—"Naval School ship Model, government Building”—“Russian Bronze and Silver Exhibits in the Main building”. Also “Headquarters of the [Rutherford B.] Hayes Invincibles, San Francisco”, and a satirical cartoon of Democratic Candidate Samuel Tilden, winking at a blackboard inscription—“The Lions Share For Me” with the caption, “Tilden Spells Reform.”
