Sheridan” seated in a tent, with story and an account of the Battle of Winchester, won by Sheridan on September 19, 1864. Interior illustrations include a full page sketch of “The Cavalry Charge at Winchester, Virginia, September 19, 1864”, and the “Charge of the Federal Troops on the Rebel Works At Jonesborough [on the outskirts of Atlanta, GA.].” Plus a striking centerfold illustration of  “The Great Cattle Raid At Harrison’s Landing, September 16, 1864,” by A.R. Waud.

Exhibits old tape repair along left margin; minor chipping along bottom edge of pages. Else VG, w/smooth cover. Solid Sheridan issue, excellent collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing. [jp/ld] [ph:L]
